ICDS PROGRAM | XBa Centre of Dance

INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION IN DANCE STUDIES PROGRAM (ICDS)

The XBa Centre of Dance is currently the only dance education facility in Western Canada to offer the International Certification in Dance Studies Program, awarded by UNESCO's International Dance Council.

Individual XBa dancers can earn a yearly certification in Dance Studies, ranging from Level 1 to 10.

NEW: For the 2026/27 Dance Season, XBa will be accepting registrations from any and all dance students who meet the following requirements:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS for the 2026/27 Dance Season:

1. Age 11+

2. Previous dance experience in any style, from any studio

3. An Interview and Q&A Session with the Director

To be eligible for the program in 2026/27, please contact us to start your application process.

Prospective dancers interested in this program who meet all the above requirements will be evaluated and notified via email of their application status.

ICDS Programs are available for dancers 18+ looking for a Pre-Professional Training Program and/or portfolio building for further academic education.

The schedule & tuition fees will be emailed to all applicants.

Training hours range from 5 to 8.25 hours per week, across 3-4 days.

PLEASE NOTE:

Meeting these requirements DOES NOT guarantee admission into the Program.

Admission into the Program DOES NOT guarantee the dancer

an International Certification in Dance Studies.

There are a separate set of requirements dancers must abide by once admitted.
